Let Your Spiritual Gift Shine Through The Aftermath
Our pastor recently challenged us to take a spiritual gift assessment. He began by saying that everyone has at least one spiritual gift. Now, growing up in Church, this topic was not new to me. I had actually taken a similar assessment in my younger years and felt certain I knew the "Answer". However, I took the assessment home and placed it on my "I'll look at this when I get time" pile (you know you have one too). Little did I realize the days to follow that a Cat 3 Hurricane named Michael in its wake would leave a path of destruction. Thousands were left without power, running water and some so much more. Michael left my own personal home, with no power, internet, phone or television. Thankfully, we had running water for a little while, we were all safe and forced to just be still and wait. With the sun not yet setting, and pencil in hand, I picked up the assessment and began to answer the questions. There it was, not one, but two spiritual gifts, ...
